Extravaganza has been decorating proms for over 20 years, and we know a thing or two about the most popular themes.   From the classic Old Hollywood affair to the Tangled soirees (which have increased in popularity dramatically in the last few years!), we have seen it all.

The theme selection comes from the mood the prom committee wants to set for the evening.  Do you want the atmosphere to be formal, flashy or even whimsical?  No matter what the theme is, there is one thing all proms have in common, they should be unforgettable!  If you aren’t sure where to start, try surveying the student body on a few themes to get a popular vote.  

 

Here is a list of the top 5 prom themes we have seen used the most in the past 5 years:

  1. We would suggest staying away from anything too niche and embracing a classic theme, decade or trendy theme.  The most important part of planning any prom is that it leaves your guests with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  After all, you only get one senior prom, and you want it to be the cherry on top of your high school career as you close this chapter!
