24 Feb Wedding Trends for 2026 Brides
Throughout our many years in this industry (over 25 years to be exact), we have witnessed many wedding trends come and go. The early 2000’s brought bold colors, high contrast, and strapless wedding gowns. These trends focused on a maximalist approach in hopes of achieving the wow factor. I know we’ve all heard the rumors about trends being recycled, and let me tell you, the rumors are true! This maximalist approach was very similar to the late ‘70s and ‘80s way of living, incorporating loud colors, patterns, and textures into one space.
This trend, like so many others, is being replaced with a new style. We are seeing clients gravitating towards monochromatic earth tones. The monochromatic style leans more into a minimalist route, using different shades of the same color to add subtle depth. We saw a lot of sage green in 2025, and don’t see this slowing down in 2026.

As an homage to this popular wedding color, we made sure to feature sage green at our booth for the October 2025 Bridal Expo.
Not only have we watched this shift happen firsthand, but we also have pictures to prove it! Take a trip down memory lane to see the trends shift in real time:

Above we have four wedding decor photos from our archives… take a wild guess which two we really had to dig for!

The peach and seafoam combination truly speaks for the times. A couple of words that come to mind when reminiscing on the early 2000’s are bold, playful, and loud.
As you can see from our more recent pictures, 2026 will most likely bring in a more muted and simplistic feeling when it comes to wedding decor. Whether it’s drapery, centerpieces, or lighting, the less is more theory seems to be in.

Trends aside, ultimately our goal as wedding planners is to bring the bride and groom’s vision to life! We can’t wait to see what ideas our 2026 brides bring to the table.
