A Taste of the Carolinas is a must event for anyone visiting Charlotte from across this great country for the RNC. It’s a full-blown immersion into Carolina culture with highlights of the many different Carolina regions and unique Carolina cuisine.
From the mountaintops of Asheville to the endless coasts of the Carolinas, you’ll get a look into what defines our culture. We’ll take you and your tastebuds on a journey with eclectic Carolina delicacies such as Charleston Shrimp & Grits, eastern Carolina Barbecue, and Seafood that is second to none.
More than just filling your appetite, we will take you on a journey from the old bootlegging days in the hills where you can pan for gold or test the slopes to taking a walk in the sand and try your luck on a surf simulator. Everywhere in between you can see the history of NASCAR and play some of the sports that the Carolinas are known best for.
